My friend asked me to design a cover for his upcoming EP using a photo as the foundation. After a series of drafts, I decided to print the photo, slice it up, and hang it behind a fence to create a degree of separation between the viewer and the subject. The fact that we are separated and life is fenced in seemed to be a fitting metaphor for this society. I also imagine the bright overlying text as teeth chomping down on the subject.
